Bruce Nierenberg (BIN Sales & Mktg; Glaceau) to Speak on Broker Management

BevNET is delighted to announce that longtime food and beverage broker and investor Bruce Nierenberg will be joining the lineup for BevNET FBU Los Angeles, a full-day educational event for entrepreneurs on Sept. 11, 2014 at the Skirball Cultural Center.BruceNeirenberg

Nierenberg, a former Glaceau board member and the founder of B.I.N. Sales and Marketing, will speak on the basic routes to market for new and growing brands, particularly the process of deploying and incorporating sales brokers as part of a sales organization and how it relates to a company’s overall forecasting, budgeting, and promotional agendas.

At a time when entrepreneurs are hard-pressed to figure out the best way to combine consumer outreach with building a retail footprint, Nierenberg offers a unique background, having been a broker and also having grown and sold his own consumer product company, Mediterranean Organic. This experience, combined with the insights he has gained from investing in and advising CPG companies, allows Nierenberg to offer entrepreneurs advice on expectations for broker networks, challenges with regard to accountability and attention, and ways to provide marketing support to those networks without breaking the bank.

Nierenberg’s discussion will also be informed by his deep background in CPG investing and work with startups as both a broker and as an advisor, offering entrepreneurs ideas about how their overall route to market plan can affect their ability to attract investors and grow the business.
